CALLING ALL 7TH and 8TH GRADE PARENTS! 

We are looking for 1-2 Washburne parents to Chair the 2026 Dance Marathon at Washburne on Friday, March 20th.  Miracle Network Dance Marathon is a nationwide student-led, year-round philanthropic movement that unites over 400 schools while raising funds and awareness for their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. In Chicago, over 20 dance marathon programs (including Washburne!) support Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, where 100% of the funds raised stay local.

The Chair will attend monthly Dance Marathon student committee meetings (held from 8:00-8:20AM) and coordinate the day-of event on Friday, March 20th (in conjunction with the PTO).  If your student is on the Dance Marathon steering committee, chairing the event is a great way to spend time together for a wonderful cause!  Please email the PTO if interested in chairing.  The next steering committee meeting is November 13th, and we would love to have the chair attend!
